Sandy was a stray kitty that appeared at the author's home one day and changed their lives...and his. Sandy was very sick and needed life-saving surgery, but was blind and unable to walk afterwards - and that's when Sandy's miracle began! Sandy's story was featured in the Westerly Sun.
Sandy was also the first animal in the world to receive a combination therapy that may encourage the production of new brain cells (neurons) that are lost after injury. One of these therapies is now being studied in people who have suffered a stroke!
And we all wonder...was Sandy Cat's 'chance' visit to their home that day really just a coincidence? Sandy Cat's life experience and triumphs were captured in this book collection to help others. And so, Sandy Cat Books was born.
